. . . . .Participants will learn to cultivate and respond to Change Talk using MI based skills.  Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to: 
describe the benefits of eliciting Change Talk for the client, 
assess client verbalization for Change Talk, 
explain the difference between Preparatory Change Talk and Mobilizing Change Talk, 
describe how to respond to client Change Talk. 
Previous knowledge of MI skills is helpful but not required.

Who Should Attend?

This workshop is designed for everyone who seeks to develop their skills in supporting others in behavior change. How many workshops you attend will depend on your goals and desire for proficiency since MI takes time to learn and has a language that supports learning.  Social Workers at any point in their career as well as LMHCs, Health care professionals, direct care professionals, CASACs, anyone who works in the legal,corrections or education field.
