About the Authors/Instructors:
Ruth Campbell, LCSW, Ph.D.  is currently in private practice in New York City and in upstate NY. She is the Continuing Education Director of the non-profit organization Best Practice Trainers, Inc., which has a research and training mission. She has 40 years’ experience working in mental health settings as a clinician, teacher, and author, and 14 years’ experience in direct practice with Substance Use Disorders. She is an engaging clinician and thought-provoking writer.
Richard Coleman, LMSW is currently in practice within Connections Counseling PLLC in upstate New York. He has over 50 years’ experience working in mental health settings as a clinician and author, and 20 years’ experience in direct practice with Substance Use Disorders. He is an engaging and dynamic clinician.

This  webinar begins with a focus on the importance of couples work, even as marriage rates are declining. It touches on how to deal with the risks that threaten committed relationships, and finally on assessment and communication practices that are effective and useful in couples’ work. Ruth and Richard are husband and wife; they have worked together in  practice with couples for over twenty years.
