You will receive a link to the LIVE webinar a day before the training. These webinars have limited availability. Ethics for the Counseling Professions – Sat. October 24, 10 am – 12 noon – $30

LIVE webinar presented by Tim Campbell, Ph.D. Bioethics – 2 CEs on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 10 am to noon. This two-hour beginner – intermediate level LIVE webinar for social work and other clinical professionals covers ethical values which are the basis for ethical counselor practice, and ethical decision-making basics. Tim discusses information and ethical decision-making on a case-by-case basis in the areas of confidentiality, technological advances, immigration and addictions. Screenings, Brief Interventions, Referrals and Beyond! – Sat. November 7, 10 am – 12 noon – $30

LIVE webinar presented by Ruth Campbell, LCSW & Richard Coleman, LMSW – 2 CEs on Saturday, November 7, 2020 from 10 am – 12 noon. This 2 hour long beginning to intermediate level LIVE webinar for social work and other clinical professionals covers Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health Disorder prevention interventions. Campbell and Coleman discuss screenings, and brief interventions which can be made quickly to counter and improve SUD and MH symptoms. Additionally, they discuss how to decide when and whom to refer to further treatment. The latest information on prevalence of SUDs and MH disorders is the basis for this 2 hour webinar. Couples Dynamics & Recovery
Fri. November 13, 10 am – 12 noon -$30

LIVE webinar presented by Afua Forson, M.D., MFT Assoc. 2 CEs on Friday, November 13 from 10 am to 12 noon. This 2 hour-long, beginning to intermediate level, LIVE webinar is a primer for counseling professionals who are working with couples. Forson outlines the Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approach to assessing and counseling couples. She extends the discussion to those couples who may have a substance use disorder problem, describing 3 typical cases of couples in various stages of recovery and discussing effective interventions:
>Case 1: one member of the couple is using while the other member does not have a substance use problem;

>Case 2: One member of the couple is using while the other member is in recovery;

>Case 3: Both members of the couple are in recovery.

Course completion requirements

To earn CE credit, participants must log in and attend the entire course as determined electronically. Certificates of completion will be emailed within 10 business days of course completion. Course credit through any organization cannot be given retroactively. No partial credit can be given for any partially completed course.
