2019-2020 Recorded Course Library for NYS LM, LCSWs, LMHCs.  CASACs 1 – 2.5 CEs

NYS clinicians can earn self-study CEs with recorded presentations featuring a variety of clinical experts on a variety of topics.

Refunds will be given in exceptional circumstances only within a month of registration. Previous payments will be honored only within the calendar year of registration.

Course completion requirements
To earn CE credit, participants must log in, complete a pretest (for recorded A/V courses only), attend the entire course as determined electronically, complete a course evaluation and a posttest with at least 75% accuracy. Those who do not make 75% the first time can have a second try with the availability of the training materials. Further attempts must be authorized by the CE Director. Certificates of completion will be emailed within 10 business days of course completion. Course credit through any organization cannot be given retroactively. No partial credit can be given for any partially completed course.

NYS CASACs: Best Practice Trainers, Inc is a recognized CE provider for NYS OASAS (#0806) and has individual course and provider level approval to offer CEs for these courses to NYS re-credentialing CASACs.
NY social workers:
Best Practice Trainers, Inc (BPTI) is recognized by NYSED as a CE provider for NYS social workers (#SW-0519) and LMHCs (#MHC-0124) and has provider level approval to offer CEs to NYS SWers and LMHCs. NYSED allows only 1/3 of the required CEs to come from distance learning courses.

For re-credentialing CASACs

A free online OASAS- approved 6 CE CBT course (“Essential Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Substance Use Disorders”)  is being offered to re-credentialing CASACs in September, 2018 and extending through 2020.
Invitations were sent to all CASACs in the email beginning the last part of August, 2018. Best Practice Trainers, Inc is sponsoring the study of treatment issues relating to substance use disorders. Please read more about terms and conditions relating to your participation as a research subject here. 

The free “Essential Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Substance Use Disorders” course  will be made available beginning throughout 2018-2020  to any re-credentialing CASAC who registers. You can complete the training at your own pace, and you can request help from BPTI staff if you don’t understand something.  OASAS has approved 6 CEs for the course. In order to receive a certificate, you will need to complete a pretest, a posttest with 75% accuracy, and complete a course evaluation. If you do not pass the posttest the first time, you’ll get a second chance with an “open-book” method. Further attempts must be authorized by the CE Director.
